2007 Hawk Count

The 2007 Skagit Flats Hawk Count was held on February 20th, a beautiful sunny day with light breezes.

1008 birds were counted, very similar to last year's total of 1003. We saw...

13 Peregrine Falcons
12 American Kestrels
12 Cooper's Hawks
5 Merlins
3 Sharp-shinned Hawks
3 Common Barn Owls

10 unidentified
